Blue Angels drop the season opener to Sleepy Eye 7-6

After scoring 4 in the top of the 1st inning, the Angels bats fell quiet in the middle innings, eventually falling to Sleepy Eye 7-6 in 8 innings. Connor Blad led the Angels with 2 hits and an RBI. Colton Marwede also knocked in two runs. Marcus Benson pitched the first 3 innings, collecting 6 strikeouts. Ayden Buboltz took the loss in extra innings. Next up for the Angels is a road game at Canby on Tuesday at 6 pm. Hope to see you there!
